Duties: Math Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment:Develop and facilitate regional math learning opportunities.Deliver in-district math workshops/trainings, and support math on-site consultants.Create new partnerships and affiliations with math specialists and math service providers.Liaise with NYSED regarding math-related updates and sharing with region.Data Analytics:Support CIS department with data collection, recording, and analysis.Conduct data analysis for CIS programs and provide support in effective data-driven decision-making.Assist districts in data based decision-making initiatives.Grant Writing:Manage and write grants for CIS department.Facilitate, report, and follow-up on department grants.Communication:Maintain positive communication with districts, BOCES, outside organizations, and vendors as required by each program.Maintain relationships and memberships in relevant professional organizations to build capacity to provide cutting-edge curriculum; attend professional conferences and NYSED subject-specific trainings when available.Other:Assist with implementation, development, and/or delivery of any ad hoc projects as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of the CIS Department.Qualifications: Must have a thorough understanding of the New York State Next Generation Math Learning StandardsNew York State Math Grades 5 – 9 and/or 7-12 certificationNew York State School District Leader CertificationMinimum of five years of experience teaching mathLeadership experience preferredExpertise using the Understanding by Design Framework, and curriculum development experience preferredExperience leading data inquiry teams or district data initiatives requiredMust possess outstanding facilitation, verbal communication, and writing skills, and experience providing effective professional development.Characteristics Desired: Must be organized and exhibit strong planning skills and follow-throughMust have strong interpersonal skills to work well with students, teachers, administrators, and support staff from a wide variety of schools and districts
