Special Education Office The Port Chester Rye UFSD is looking to hire a Senior Office Asst, Spanish Speaking for the Special Education Office- Must Hold Civil Service title and be reachable.Position Summary:Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist visitors, parents, and staff in a professional and courteous mannerAnswer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriatelyAssist with including data entry and document verificationMaintain and update student records in the IEPPrepare and organize registration packets and materialsFile, scan, and manage confidential documents in accordance with district policiesSupport the coordination of appointmentsPerform other general office duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior office or administrative experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entryStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationBilingual skillsIn accordance with the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation, Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and by the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, candidates for appointment in school districts must obtain clearance for employment from the State Education Department prior to employment based upon a fingerprint and criminal history background check. Each new employee must consent prior to employment to a security/background check and fingerprinting at their own expense through a State Education facility.
