The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and have experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities. This role involves providing individualized instruction, implementing IEPs, and collaborating with families and staff to support student success.Responsibilities:Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.Provide bilingual instruction and differentiated support to ensure language accessibility.Modify and adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.Utilize assistive technology and evidence-based instructional strategies.Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.Foster a positive, nurturing, and culturally responsive classroom environment.Qualifications:Valid New York State (NYS) teaching certification in Special Education.Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.Experience working with elementary students with disabilities.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Knowledge of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and differentiated instruction.
