QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in the following areas of study: education, math, science, history, and/or English. Must be or become Adult Education Certified within 60 days of employment through NYSED AEPP office, if not a NYS certified teacher. Preferred Qualification: NYS Certified Teacher or bachelor’s degree in education. Must pass a fingerprint background check. REPORTS TO: Coordinator for Adult ProgramsGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provide differentiated instruction and support students directly to prepare students for the GED exam and for gainful employment post-graduation.Openings are located in Pulaski (Tuesday, Thursday 6pm-9pm) and Remotely (new offering, days and times to be established with instructor) RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will:Prepare differentiated learning materials in Math, Social Studies, Language Arts and Science;Provide differentiated, direct instruction in small class settings;Support student progress, career readiness and transition goals;Administer in-person assessments, as required by program regulations;Completion of progress reports, attendance forms and annual program maintenance forms;Other duties assigned per requirements from the NYSED AEPP office.
