The Oswego County P-TECH program currently serves students from the nine component districts in Oswego County. The program offers the opportunity for students to earn a high school regents' diploma and a no-cost college degree in partnership with Onondaga Community College. Students will work directly with Industry Partners, such as Novelis, Huhtamaki, Constellation Energy, Davis-Standard, EJ, and many more to develop career-readiness skills. Job Description:PTECH is seeking a dedicated and creative PBL/STEAM Learning Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with subject area teachers in delivering relevant, hands-on instruction. This role requires the ability to inspire students to explore and discover. Key Responsibilities:Work directly with PTECH administration to develop a scope and sequence that incorporates courses and curriculum designed to meet the rigors of college and career experiencesWork in partnership with teachers and staff, modeling consistent effective teaching with technology, engagement, lesson plan design, use of technology, STEAM and online tools. Demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and MathCollaborate with industry partners to deliver relevant STEM challenges throughout the school yearDemonstrate the ability to create and implement strategies for weaving STEAM and/or project-based learning experiences into multi-disciplinary curricula Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of the connection STEAM learning and real-world applications Implement STEAM Curriculum: Design and deliver engaging lessons with hands-on activities and projects that promote creativity and critical thinking.Prepare Materials and Equipment: Prepare necessary materials and equipment for PBL and or STEAM lessons and projectsModel and Deliver Learning Experiences: Demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.Attend and participate in work-based learning experiences such industry visits, mentoring, STEM challenges
