This 10-month position follows the CiTi BOCES’ student calendar and is a member of the Teachers’ Association. Opportunities for summer hours may be available. Before and after school connections and meetings required. Reports directly to the CTE Principal and CTE Assistant Principal. Works closely with the Career Center members and MTSS teams.Purpose: to fulfill the duties and responsibilities related to student success in the CTE programs The CTE Student Support Coordinator will:Assist with the development, implementation, and oversight of student events (ex. Medical Day, Union Day, Industry Day, Signing Day, etc.)Assist with field trips, student competitions, in-shop projects, etc. as neededCoordinate guest speakersCollect and submit CTE Points of Pride information monthlyAttend regularly scheduled MTSS team meetings and support student program engagement by assisting with attendance calls, intervention meetings, etc.Coordinate year 1 and year 2 student Exit Plans with appropriate CTE team membersActs as CTE-PR liaison to promote student opportunities, achievements, and acknowledgementsCoordinates on-boarding of new CTE staff with emphasis on areas that focus on building community and relationshipsOversee development, advertising, and awarding of scholarshipsParticipate on committees as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:NYS certified teacher (CTE and/or WBL certification preferred, but not required)Knowledge of high school graduation pathways, post-secondary learning, and employment opportunitiesAbility to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members
