The educational and advanced manufacturing industry leaders in Oswego County are seeking dynamic candidates for an outstanding opportunity to be principal of the county’s innovative Advanced Manufacturing Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) regional high school. The Oswego County P-TECH program opened its doors in 2016 and currently serves students from the nine component districts in Oswego County. The program offers the opportunity for its principal to lead a grade 9-14 campus, which results in students earning a high school regents' diploma and a no-cost college degree in partnership with Onondaga Community College. Students will work directly with Industry Partners, such as Novelis, Huhtamaki, Constellation Energy, Davis-Standard, EJ, and many more to develop career-readiness skills. Potential candidates should possess some or all the following preferred characteristics: Work-based learning experience A background in or knowledge in STEM Pathways Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Proven interpersonal and networking skills Experience in business and industry Working knowledge of budget/school finances/grants Experience working with secondary-aged students Instructional leadership skills Technological savvy (knowledge and application) Demonstrated experience in leading a major project from start to finish Candidates must hold a New York State SBL or SAS Administrative Certification. This is a 12-month probationary appointment and includes a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
