The Oswego County P-TECH program is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated Technology Teacher to join our team! Founded in 2016, Oswego County P-TECH provides incoming freshman from nine school districts in Oswego County the opportunity to pursue a high-school Regents Diploma, a no cost two-year Associates Degree from Onondaga Community college, and workforce development programming such as Industry Mentoring, Job Shadowing, Internships and more. Organized and overseen through a partnership between K-12, Higher Education, and local Industry, students focus on the academic, technical, and professional skills that lead to mid-level industry jobs with middle class salaries upon their graduation. Graduates of P-TECH are currently employed with Advanced Manufacturing facilities throughout Oswego County and CNY including, Novelis, Huhtamaki, Davis-Standard, Carrier, Lockheed Martin and more. As a Technology Teacher with the P-TECH program, the position responsibilities include the following: Work with a team of Manufacturing Partners in building authentic Industry Challenges that provide students opportunity to grow their technical and professional skillsDesign curriculum that is built on engineering principals such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.Lead students in competitive clubs and activities that promote STEM learning, exploration, and development.Supervise field trips to local industry manufacturing sites throughout Oswego CountyThis position will be based out of CiTi BOCES Main Campus in Mexico, NY with possible travel to Onondaga Community College.We encourage all applicants to learn about our student’s success by visiting our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube page or website at www.citiboces.org/ptech
