The Ossining Union Free School District is seeking an Assistant Principal for the Ossining High School. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Principal to establish and maintain a positive school culture that promotes academic achievement, social and emotional development, equity and inclusivity. Lead efforts in DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) compliance and leadership development initiatives, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. Provide professional development and support to teachers and staff in implementing evidence-based strategies for behavior management and organized classroom discipline.Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and community partners to promote organized student engagement, attendance, and success.Work closely with the school's counseling team, social workers, and other support staff to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.Ensure that disciplinary policies and procedures are consistently applied in a fair and equitable manner, with a focus on organized restorative practices and positive behavior reinforcementWork closely with teachers and staff to develop and implement a rigorous and inclusive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our student population.Provide guidance and support to teachers in the design and implementation of effective instructional practices and differentiation strategies.Effectively multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced educational environment.Develop and run organized programs to support the school community, including academic enrichment, extracurricular activities, and student leadership initiatives.Qualifications: New York State certification as a School Administrator or School Building Leader. Strong knowledge of DASA regulations and experience implementing bullying prevention programs. Experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and assessment practices. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with special education students and support staff in meeting their needs. Proficiency in master scheduling techniques and software applications.
