Qualifications:NYS School Administrator, NYS School District Administrator Certification, or eligibility.Minimum of (5) five years experience in education.Strong commitment to children.Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development and school improvement.Knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards and understanding of effective classroom instruction.Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Such alternatives to the above as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.Job Description:The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Administration is responsible for overseeing, planning, training, managing, and evaluating the district-wide human resources process, function and program. They are responsible for recruiting, hiring and sustaining highly qualified staff as well as participating and overseeing the activities involved with labor management and collective bargaining negotiations. Administratively, the Assistant Superintendent is responsible to assist and support the Superintendent of Schools with the daily operations and functions of the schools and working closely with building level administrators providing guidance and support.
