QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must be a New York State certified school psychologist (bilingual extension or certification preferred but not required). Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the role of the Committee on Special Education, Federal and State regulations pertaining to the Special Education process.DUTIES:The Psychologist will serve as a mandated member of the Committee on Special Education.Conduct mandated Psychological and Educational evaluations per State and Federal Regulations, prepare written reports, and assist in the development of Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities including computer input into IEP software. Assist with the chairing of initial CSE and initial 504 meetings for our elementary schools.The Psychologist will also perform any assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate by the Assistant Director of Student Support Services.
