Position: English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher - Nyack Middle SchoolResponsibilities: • Provide Integrated ENL instruction to middle school English Language Learners in grades 6-8.• Evaluate student progress, set goals, and communicate with students, families, and faculty.• Support teachers in adapting curriculum and implementing best practices for Ells.• Create an inclusive classroom that supports social-emotional well-being and belonging.• Administer formative, diagnostic and state-mandated assessments of English Language Learners, including the NYSITELL and NYSESLAT.• Incorporate culturally and linguistically responsive practices into lesson design.• Engage in ongoing, collaborative professional learning.Qualifications: • New York State Certification in ESOL (Required)• Dual Certification Preferred (e.g., Social Studies, Math, English, or Special Education)
