PRINCIPAL - NEIL HELLMAN SCHOOL - ALBANYSIGN ON BONUS - $10,000Relocation Assistance is availablePOSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing all aspects of academic, administrative, compliance, and supplementary activities of the Neil Hellman School.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of NHS or SANEResponsible for all compliance issues to the NYS Education Department, NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), NYS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS), and the Justice CenterOversee the overall curriculum and instructional programs at NHS or SANEEnsure that all classroom coverage meets required ratios of teachers, teacher assistants, and other support staffSupervise the administrative team to help teachers and support staff to manage student behavior, and deliver a quality instructional programWork collaboratively with the Day Treatment Director and clinicians to infuse therapeutic support into the classroomsAssist the Chief Officer of Education in the development of the school Budget; manage and maintain ongoing fiscal reportMaintain positive relationships with customers and all referral sources including NYS Education Department, OMH, OCFS, and the Justice CenterLead, facilitate, and participate in agency, school, community, and multi-school meetings as requiredLead efforts with building leadership team to insure budget utilization requirements are metDirectly supervise and evaluate members of the building leadership team and other school teachers and staff as assignedProvide building leadership for all Agency and School Initiatives, Policies, Regulations, and Procedures as they relate to students and staffActively participate in Northern Rivers Senior Management Team meetingsDevelop annual training plan for all educational staff and ensure all employees are in compliance with all mandatory agency trainingEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCERequires a Masters degree and at least ten years of school administration experience.CERTIFICATION / LICENSURERequires School Administration and Supervision certification.
