Elementary Classroom Teacher (Probationary- Fourth Grade) North Shore Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Fourth Grade Classroom Teacher for a full-time probationary position. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering instruction aligned with state and district standards, using best practices in pedagogy, UDL, and assessment.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement engaging lessons in core subject areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.Establish a positive, respectful classroom culture that supports the development of the whole child.Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and provide timely feedback to students and families.Collaborate with grade-level team members, specialists, and support staff to meet the diverse learning needs of students.Communicate regularly with families to build partnerships that support student learning and well-being.Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.Uphold and model district values, professional expectations, and ethical standards.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6).Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.Effective communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
