The Norwich City School District is seeking a student-focused, solution-oriented Librarian to join our team. We are committed to creating dynamic learning environments and the successful candidate will help lead the continued transformation of our libraries into responsive and welcoming spaces that foster curiosity, literacy, and authentic learning experiences. What You’ll Do:Create Open and Responsive Library Environments: Design and sustain libraries that are welcoming, flexible, and responsive to the interests and needs of students. Support a culture where every learner is encouraged to explore, inquire, and create.Develop and Maintain a Relevant Collection: Curate and manage a collection that is current and aligned to both student interests and curricular needs. Ensure equitable access to print and digital resources that reflect the world our students live in – and the future they are preparing for.Collaborate and Communicate Effectively: Serve as a collaborative partner and open communicator with teachers, students, and administrators. Participate in professional learning teams, co-design learning experiences, and provide instructional support around literacy and research skills.Solve Problems Proactively: Demonstrate a solutions-based mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving student needs. Provide timely support and leadership in creating instructional alignment and enriching engagement through media, research, and literacy tools.
