The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in alignment with the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), foster critical thinking and inquiry, and create a positive and engaging classroom environment. The teacher will also support students’ academic growth and help prepare them for Regents-level coursework and assessments.Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in Biology and related life sciences.Prepare students for the NYS Living Environment Regents examination and other science assessments.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities.Incorporate laboratory investigations and hands-on learning experiences in compliance with NYSED laboratory requirements.Integrate technology, scientific practices, and real-world applications into the curriculum.Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative measures, maintaining accurate records of progress.Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student achievement and school goals.Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and curriculum planning.Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom that promotes respect and academic integrity.
