The Part-Time Teacher Aide provides assistance and support to students with special needs during lunch periods. This role ensures student safety, facilitates a positive dining experience, and provides assistance with any personal or behavioral needs during lunch breaks.Supervise and assist students with special needs during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.Provide support with eating and other activities during the lunch period, which may include opening containers, cutting food, and assisting with utensils.Ensure proper behavior and social interaction among students, encouraging a respectful and inclusive environment.Assist with transitions to and from the lunch area, ensuring students move safely and efficiently.Address and de-escalate minor behavioral challenges using appropriate intervention techniques, following individual student behavior plans where applicable.Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and administrators regarding student needs or concerns observed during the lunch period.Follow all district policies, procedures, and protocols related to student care, confidentiality, and safety.
