We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated ENL Teachers (K-12) to join our district and support our growing population of English Language Learners (ELLs). The ENL Teacher will provide English language instruction, collaborate with general education teachers, and implement research-based instructional strategies to help students develop English proficiency while achieving academic success. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct English language instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing to students at various proficiency levels. Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that align with New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and NYS English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) expectations. Use a variety of instructional strategies, including sheltered instruction and co-teaching models, to support students in both ENL and content-area classrooms. Assess students’ language proficiency and academic progress using formal and informal assessments. Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to provide inclusive and culturally responsive instruction. Advocate for multilingual learners and their families by fostering a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
