QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification Students with Disabilities K-12, or SWD 7-12 with 5-9 Extension or SWD K-6 with 5-9 ExtensionDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This is a lead teacher position within a 12:1:1 classroom for students in 6th -8th who need intensive academic support. The candidate will work collaboratively with middle school teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to implement special education services to students with disabilities. This position includes coordinating services/programs with colleagues, maintaining open communication with parents and staff, monitoring progress on annual goals, carrying out testing modifications and supplemental aids, modifying curriculum, managing paraprofessionals, and advocating for student needs.
