Coordinate the reporting of all required data to the NYSED to comply with state and federalaccountability. Responsible for assisting administrators with the collection and reporting ofBEDs, Civil Rights, APPR, School Safety and the Educational Climate (SSEC) data, etc. Serve as a liaison to BOCES and NYSED for New York State Testing and curriculum updates. Assist in the coordination and supervision of the district testing program, K-12. Develop and leadthe analysis of student test data including item analysis, score comparison, effect on academicintervention, and share results with administration and teaching staff to inform instruction. Generate data requested by school and district level administrators for long-term planning anddata trends, school and department data analysis, formative assessment reports, classplacement, academic intervention, program participation, program evaluation, communication,etc. Plan for, establish, and maintain district-wide database systems. Assure data integrity and assiststaff in data access and utilization. Create and support the use of Google apps and extensions to streamline data flows. Serve as system administrator and manage all non-instructional applications, including but notlimited to, school business management system (nVision), NYSED SEDDAS, student informationsystem (eSchoolData), communications applications (ParentSquare, Website), etc. Manage all aspects of the student information system, Google Workspace, teacher andadministrative evaluation and professional development system (StaffTrac), all instructionalapplications, technology ticketing and inventory system (IncidentIQ), etc. Authorize permissions and individual access to technology applications or services for thepurpose of ensuring proper access to technology systems by staff, students, parents and othersconsistent with district operating guidelines and regulations. Facilitate IT security audits and investigations. Supervise and support Instructional Technology Resource Teachers as they focus on the use ofinstructional technology to improve student achievement and enable students to develop intosuccessful and responsible citizens. Responsible for the development, implementation, operation, monitoring, and evaluation of thetechnology program for the district in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations andrequirements. Responsible for all technology hardware and software evaluation, budgeting, forecasting,planning, purchasing and deploying. Responsible for maintaining technology operations to include systems administration, networkmanagement, telecommunications management, system and data security, system and databackup, and emergency recovery plans. Manage procurement, inventory, and surplus of technology equipment, systems and relatedservices for the purpose of ensuring that all technology purchases for goods and/or services areconsistent with the district’s technology objectives, and that equipment is properly inventoriedor surplused consistent with local, district, BOCES, and/or NYS regulations. Oversee the E-Rate program for technology initiatives within the district. Work closely with the Special Education, Human Resources, and Student Support ServicesOffices to report student and staff data. Serve as Chief Information Officer. Develop and guide professional learning opportunities for all district employee groups andparent organizations regarding pertinent technology related topics. Follow district protocols for hiring and supporting new teachers, clericals and technicians. Facilitate regularly scheduled department meetings. Oversee the creation and distribution of instructional technology newsletters for teachers andparents (Tiger Tech Tales). Communicate with members of the school community to share information, provide relevanttechnology related notifications, and answer questions. Attend professional development, conferences and professional organization meetings, includingBOCES District Data Coordinator, Model Schools, and Suffolk County Technology Directorsmeetings. Participate as an active member of the Administrative Council, building level Cabinet meetings,and other administrative meetings as scheduled. Communicate technology related activities in a timely manner to all stakeholders.
