The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking a Speech Teacher – Leave Replacement. Responsibilities include: Conducting speech and language re-evaluations for special education students Delivering individual and group speech services, as per student IEP mandates Maintaining accurate records, speech session notes, and Medicaid related documents Collaborating with teachers, parents, and component school districts Requirements: NYSED Certification – Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Speech and Language Disabilities NYS Speech-Language Pathology License and Certificate of Clinical Competence – American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are preferred Experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders is also preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills
