The successful applicants should be able to: Coordinate all activities associated with the Preschool and Extended School Year Programs. Assist in the annual budget development and monitoring for the Preschool and Extended Year Programs. Monitor the monthly billing for all Preschool and Extended Year Programs. Complete all State Education Department (SED) reports relating to the Preschool and Extended Year Programs. Track all SED applications and student variances needed for the ten Nassau BOCES Special Education programs. Overseeing the referral, screening, placement and discharge of students in the Preschool and Extended School Year programs. Carry out all other duties as assigned by the Assistant to the Superintendent for Special Education and the Associate Director of Special Education.REQUIREMENTS:New York State Education Department Certification: School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS)/School District Administrator (SDA) or School Building Leader (SBL) and School District Leader (SDL). 3+ years of teaching and/or administrative experience. Experience in Special Education related to emotional, learning, and developmental disabilities. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
