Description:The Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs at Nassau BOCES is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Teacher to teach NYS EMT curriculum, in conjunction with the Nassau EMS Academy. This will include instructing students on NYS EMT curriculum (Nassau County protocols), adapting to changes in protocol (Both NYS and Nassau County), reviewing Hazardous Material Operations level (IFSTA curriculum), and obtaining AHA CPR instructor certification as well as Emergency Vehicle Operator certification.Requirements:* NYSED certification in Emergency Medical Services 7-12 is required or the candidate must be certifiable through the Transitional A Certification pathway * NYS EMT and CIC/CLI certifications (within the past two years) is required* 4+ years of verified experience in the field of Emergency Medical Services is required* Firefighter Instructor and/or Hazardous Materials certification are preferred* Prior teaching experience or experience working with the secondary student population is preferredApply on OLAS and Click here to complete application
