Description: The Department of Regional Schools and Instructional Programs is seeking an Auto Mechanics Teacher (1.0 FTE) to teach in our CTE program at the Gerald R. Claps Career & Technical Center in Levittown. Students will be trained in maintenance, engine repair, automatic and manual transmissions, steering and suspension, and electrical systems. Students will take entry-level Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) exams at the conclusion of the program.Requirements:* NYSED Certification - Vehicle Mechanical Repair (Including Heavy Equipment Repair) 7-12 is required* 2+ years of verified experience as a tradesperson or teacher in the Auto Mechanic areas of CTE and has professional relationships with trade experts or employers* Experience with secondary student populations and technology in the classroom is preferredApply on OLAS and to complete the application, please Click here
