Nassau BOCES seeks certified special education teachers (elementary) for the Regional Summer School program from July 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022.  Hours and rates vary by district but generally fall between 8AM – 1 PM, Monday – Thursday and between $40 - $55 per hour.  Responsibilities:Facilitate lessons for elementary students that comply with Individual Educational PlansProvide hands-on lessons for students offering opportunities to maintain their skills over the summerDevelop lessons that enrich the learning experienceKnowledge of authentic assessmentsAssign and supervise Teaching Assistants and Classroom AidesWork cooperatively with other disciplines in the delivery of support servicesQualifications:NYS Certification - Students with Disabilities (Birth - 2)NYS Certification - Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6)OLAS applications and cover letters should be addressed to Christine Fleming, Program Coordinator.  No phone calls or emails.
