REQUIREMENTS: Have a valid NYS Teacher certification in Business ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide rigorous lessons aligned with New York State Business Curriculum Teach students through an inquiry-based curriculum, and place the thinking work on all students Collaborate with the Instructional Leadership to design and implement a rich and rigorous Business curriculum and assessments aligned to state standards Demonstrate experience integrating technology resources into teaching and learning Investigate innovative technologies and applications for implementation in the classroom Demonstrate a relentless commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levels Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development Be an active participant in honorary memberships/organizations, department, school, district meetings and professional development activities Foster and maintain effective communication with parents and/or guardians Establish a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapport Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, Principal or other appropriate administrator
