Malverne School District anticipates a part-time, high school mathematics position for the 2026-2027 school year. Full benefits included. REQUIREMENTS: Valid NYS Teacher certification in Secondary Mathematics Education AP Math experience preferred but not required Full NYS fingerprint clearance ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Plan and teach highly engaging, academically rigorous high school math lessons aligned with Malverne’s standards and progressive pedagogical philosophy. Demonstrate mathematical concepts using models, available technology methods, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids. Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Participate in department, school, district meetings and professional development activities. Foster and maintain effective communication with parents and/or guardians. Establish a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapport. Demonstrate a relentless commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levels. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, Principal or other appropriate administrator.
