Malverne School District anticipates a full–time, probationary Elementary Math Specialist position for the 2024 – 2025 school year. REQUIREMENTS:NYS certification in MathematicsChildhood Education (Grades 1-6) CertificationEarly Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) CertificationExperience with small group instructionFull NYS fingerprint clearance ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Identify at-risk students in need of additional support in mathematics.Conduct targeted instruction and additional intervention strategies for at-risk students.Assist classroom teachers with planning lessons and units and building mathematical and pedagogical knowledge.Offer technology resources to support the teaching and learning of mathematics.Secure materials, resources, and data to support the math curriculum.Provide professional development to address curriculum, teaching strategies, trends, and data analysis.Assist with evaluating math programs and provide recommendations on curriculum, materials, and instructional pedagogy.Perform other specific job-related duties as assigned by the Principal, Supervisor, or other Administrators.
