The Malverne School District is seeking an outstanding leader for the position of High School Principal effective, July 1, 2023. The successful candidate will lead a talented and diverse student body of over 600, along with an exceptional faculty, and staff in providing the very best educational experience. The candidates should possess the following qualifications: Inspire and lead administrators, teachers, students and community members to achieve excellence in all aspects of school life. Promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff to achieve excellence in academic performance by nurturing the individual abilities of students. Demonstrate ability to inspire and support administrators, and teachers in the development and implementation of an engaging, collaborative, innovative, and technology-rich curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Articulate, develop, and implement a comprehensive philosophy and cooperatively plan for ongoing improvement. Nurture the social-emotional and physical well-being of all students by fostering a supportive school culture. Determine, plan, and implement professional development, including course development, assessments for learning, differentiated instruction, and equitable student access. Communicate and develop positive relationships with parents, community members, and colleagues. Prioritize visibility, accessibility, and responsiveness to parents, students, and staff. Oversee extracurricular activities, personnel management, budget management, safety and emergency procedures, and facilities operation of the school.
