Short-Term Substitute– Special Education Teacher General Job Responsibilities:Position beginning on/or about February 15, 2024 for a 12 week leaveHave teaching experience;Ability to develop and implement IEPs;Trained in (preferred) MSRP language instruction such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson;Provide academic testing and interpret data to plan diagnostic and prescriptive lessons;Create differentiated lessons that address individual student learning styles via formative data; Understand the special education process and can successfully demonstrate various effective co-teaching models;Be able to utilize data to target instruction to provide targeted intervention across various content areas to promote academic student growth;Utilize an inquiry-based approach to teaching;Be positive, enthusiastic, & have a broad depth of knowledge of instructional strategies;Promote social-emotional learning that aligns with positive character education development;Use technology to enhance & augment instruction; Provide equitable and culturally competent learning practices;Collaborate with colleagues to promote successful literacy strategies across content areas;Identify & participate in opportunities to expand skills through professional development;Invest in the Millbrook Educational community through activities outside of the classroom in an area of student interest (preferred).
