With a population of approximately 300 students, Menands School is a unique Pre-K-8 school and district. We are a very supportive school community, and work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our students in a nurturing environment. Menands School is looking to fill an anticipated opening for an elementary special education teacher for our K-2 self-contained classroom. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding and respect for children and families from diverse backgrounds, and a strong knowledge of special education. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or a strong desire for working with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Applicants must possess NYS special education certification. Qualified, interested candidates should submit via OLAS a job specific cover letter, resume and other supporting documentation.
