With a population of approximately 300 students, Menands School is a unique Pre-K-8 school and district. We are a very supportive school community, and work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our students in a nurturing environment. Menands School is looking to fill a teaching assistant position for a leave of absence. The leave will be a minimum of eight weeks. Our teaching assistants work within our elementary classrooms assisting small groups of students with their academic needs. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding and respect for children and families from diverse backgrounds and a willingness to partner with our classroom teachers.Applicants must possess NYS special education certification.
