MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED: Completed administrative application including a Letter of Interest (Cover Letter) and ResumeA photocopy of your New York State Administrative Certification (or status if pending)Credentials File or three (3) letters of recommendationCollege transcripts (copies of all your undergraduate and / or graduate)Principal: Homer Brink Elementary SchoolPRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESBuild positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the broader school community Make decisions in the best interests of students Be professional (defined as a guaranteed level of competence), trustworthy, compassionate, and respectfulMonitor student learning and progress and initiate change as neededSet attainable goals that are measurable and timely focusing on student learningCollaborate with district and building leadership teams to achieve common goals for which all members are mutually accountableProvide building leadership focusing on high academic achievement and social-emotional development of all studentsLead, inspire and hold staff accountable for student academic growth, professional behavior, and culturally responsive and respectful practicesSECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a master schedule that addresses all student needs using known building resources (faculty and staff)Prepare an annual budget that addresses student, faculty, and staff needs while balancing the allocated resources of the districtAssign job duties to paraprofessionals, substitutes, and volunteersProvide appropriate supervision for non-classroom activities before, during, and after school, lunch, and boarding buses at dismissalPlan for assemblies, orientation programs, student meetings, graduation, open house, and other eventsMonitor the evaluation of the school's educational program and participating in the revision as neededEncourage and support the piloting of new curriculum projects, developments, and materialsEvaluate the performance of teachers, as specified in established evaluation guidelines based on classroom visits and other informationSupervise the work of the school's clerical staffProvide immediate supervision and direction to the custodial staff who are under the general administration and supervision of the Director of Transportation, Human Resources, and Maintenance SupervisorProvide immediate supervision and direction to the school's food service staff who are under the general administration and supervision of BOCES Food ServicePromote a school culture that embraces diversity, equity, inclusionIn collaboration with the building leadership team and school staff, cultivate a student-centered learning environment where all people are treated with respect and dignityProvide leadership for assistant principals and the school staff in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, diversity, equity, and professional learningEVALUATIONProvide classroom observations and year end evaluations of all building faculty and staff in accordance with contractual obligations and APPR.DIRECT SUPERVISION OF Assistant or Associate Principal(s)Building faculty and staffDIRECTLY REPORT TOSuperintendent of SchoolsAssistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and AssessmentAssistant Superintendent of Business and Personnel
