EFFECTIVE DATE OF ASSIGNMENT: September 1, 2023 LOCATION: Shared - Maine-Endwell Middle School & Maine-Endwell High School STARTING SALARY: $54,000.00 + Competitive salary/benefit package REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: A valid New York State teaching certificate (or pending) in Technology Education. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:Provide innovate and creative classroom instruction for our new Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses in Engineering and Computer Science.Willing to receive PLTW training or have been previously PLTW certified.Share a passion for project and problem-based learning with real world application.Make decisions in the best interests of students.Work collaboratively and take individual responsibility for student learning.Collaborate with your team working interdependently to achieve common goals for which all members are mutually accountable.Implement a guaranteed and viable curriculum, unit by unit, so all students have access to the same knowledge and skills regardless of the teacher they are assigned.Implement common formative assessments to frequently gather evidence of student learning.Provide students with interventions and extensions to ensure each student who struggles receive additional time and support for learning in a way that is timely, directive, diagnostic, and systematic, and for each student who demonstrates proficiency can extend their learning.Use evidence of student learning to inform and improve your individual and team practices.
