Position Summary Mayfield Central School District is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Working collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community agencies, the social worker provides counseling services, crisis intervention, case management, and family support while promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate. Primary Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges. Conduct student assessments and develop intervention plans to support student success. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school counselors, psychologists, and other support staff to address student needs. Participate as an active member of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Student Support Team, Committee on Special Education (CSE), Section 504, and other student support teams. Assist in developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans and restorative practices. Provide crisis intervention and support for students and families during emergencies or traumatic events. Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to coordinate services and resources. Support attendance improvement initiatives by identifying barriers and working with families to increase student engagement. Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and reports in accordance with state and federal regulations. Consult with staff regarding student mental health, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning strategies. Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and supportive school environment. Participate in parent conferences, home visits when appropriate, and community outreach activities. Maintain confidentiality while adhering to ethical standards and applicable laws. Qualifications Valid New York State certification as a School Social Worker. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program; degree in Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Strong knowledge of adolescent development, mental health, trauma-informed practices, and restorative approaches. Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Strong understanding of federal and state special education laws and regulations, particularly regarding IEPs and related services. Knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health diagnoses, and evidence-based interventions. Experience working with secondary students is preferred
