POSITION TITLE: School Nurse - Leave Replacement/ Per Diem Substitute Nurse LOCATION: Mamaroneck High School HOURS: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8am - 3:30pm POSITION AVAILABLE: ASAP-October 31, 2025 REQUIREMENTS:New York State Registered Professional Nurse LicenseCurrent CPR/AED certificationMinimum of one year of experience as a school nurse RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide direct care during the school day to students for injuries and acute illness. Provide long-term management of students with special health care needs.Communicate clearly and proactively with parents, faculty, and staff on student illnesses.Adhere to and promote all school health policies.Facilitate New York State mandated immunization and communicable disease control requirements.Serve as a health resource and educator in the health instruction curriculum.Demonstrated initiative, leadership, organization, and decision-making skills, coupled with objectivity and good professional judgment in stressful situations.Proficiency in basic computer operation, including electronic health records management office software.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
