Fostering and maintaining these beliefs supports high expectations and an ethic of care for all students and employees – where differences are seen as strengths to be nourished, celebrated, and welcomed.RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the culinary teacher in delivering engaging high-quality instruction in culinary arts, food safety, and meal preparation.Assist the culinary teacher in conducting assessment of student learning and progress.Assist the culinary teacher in collaborating with colleagues, industry partners and community members to enhance student learning opportunities.Assist the culinary teacher in maintaining a well-organized, safe, and professional kitchen lab environment.Assist the culinary teacher in supporting students in career exploration, internships, and industry certification opportunities.Support all students with diverse needs (ENL, IEP, 504, etc.).Promote a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming and affirming for all students.Communicate effectively orally and in writing POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Passion for culinary arts and career-based education.The ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills.Dedication to continuous professional growth and collaboration.Flexibility, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset.Possession of appropriate New York State Certification REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalEthnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
