We value differences as strengths and strive to cultivate a shared ethic of care, high expectations, and collective responsibility across our schools.RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide speech/language therapy to a caseload of preschool students Implement evidence-based practices to support achievement of IEP goals Complete notes across necessary platforms Participate in Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings Develop present levels of performance for purposes of IEP meetings Progress monitor speech/language goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers and administration on behalf of students POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: N.Y.S Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Ability to engage in self-reflection with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunitiesPossession of appropriate New York State Teacher Certification REPORTS TO: Building Administrator and Director of Special Education Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
