POSITION: Teacher’s AidePOSITION STATUS: ProbationaryLOCATION: Mamaroneck School DistrictSCHEDULE: Monday – FridayWORK HOURS:Elementary Schools, 8am – 3:30pmMiddle School, 7:50am – 3:20pmHigh School, 7:45am – 3:15pm SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant PrincipalDATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: Immediately RESPONSIBILITIES – General Education Aide: Support of students in and out of the classroomCollaboration with other staff members on behalf of the student’s successMonitor the health and well-being of studentsEffectively communicate with classroom teacher and administrationAssist classroom teacher as neededSupervise students during lunch/recessOther duties as assigned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all ages RESPONSIBILITIES – Special Education Aide: Support of students with special needs as per their IEPCollaboration with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s successMonitor the health and well-being of studentsEffectively communicate with classroom teacher and administrationWillingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention TrainingData collection and implementation of behavior plansAssist classroom teacher as neededOther duties as assignedPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all agesExperience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challengesREQUIREMENT: High School Diploma or GED COMPENSATION: In accordance with the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Mamaroneck Teacher Aides Unit.Salary range: $25,689 - $29,948
