Little Flower UFSD is seeking a leave replacement School Security Guard for the remainder of the school year with transition into a full time (salary/benefits) position for successful candidates. Our school security team are critical members of our behavior support model, helping ensure a positive environment for student learning. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent NYS fingerprinting clearance Experience working as security guard/law enforcement personnel Professional demeanor and appearance Possession of NYS Security Guard certificate, and annual maintenance of license Duties and Responsibilities: Work cooperatively with behavior support team members Engage with students in a safe and supportive manner Assist school staff with behavior management issues Welcome and screen students upon arrival and oversee dismissal daily Assist in monitoring of visitor arrivals Support implementation of therapeutic crisis intervention techniques (training provided) Hours: 8:05 am to 3:05 pm, school calendar Rate of pay: $125 per diem and NYSERS membership option (retirement system)
