ANTICIPATED VACANCY Middle School Teacher (Leave Replacement) Position may become probationary based on anticipated retirement(s). Due to an increase in enrollment, Little Flower UFSD, Long Island’s only special act school district located in Wading River, seeks a middle-level teacher with experience educating students with disabilities in self-contained settings. The ideal candidate will be confident in their abilities to work with a diverse, high-needs population through differentiated approaches to instruction, assessment, and behavior management in a multi-grade, multi-subject classroom. Requirements: Appropriate NYSED certification in any SWD or Special Education certification; Certification in middle-level grades/generalist or a subject area will be considered; Experience in leading instruction for students with disabilities in self-contained setting or other special education setting; and Knowledge of positive behavior intervention and supports systems.
