The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking to hire a full-time probationary-track social worker within the Lindenhurst School District for the 2023-2024 school year. Candidates must have the appropriate NYS Certification. General Responsibilities: Provide mandated and non-mandated school-based counseling sessions based on student needs and IEP mandates. Provide necessary documentation to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and participate in CSE meetings, as appropriate. Utilize data and progress monitoring to track student goals within IEP Direct. Record and submit attendance and session notes. Ongoing communication with school staff, outside agencies and each child's guardian to ensure the appropriate development of each student. Participation in building-level team meetings regarding student functioning.Serve as a liaison between home, school and agencies, providing referrals and follow-up on welfare cases, child protective services, and juvenile court, as appropriate.Applicants must submit their resumes and job-specific cover letters, addressed to Ms. Irene DeNisco, Director of Special Education and PPS, via OLAS.
