The Lindenhurst UFSD is seeking a highly qualified and appropriately certified Reading Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year.Clinical Expertise: Proven experience implementing evidence-based interventions using reading resources such as: Heggerty, UFLI, OG, and LLI. Proficiency in data-driven instruction: using i-Ready, F&P Benchmarks, and formative assessments to determine AIS entry and exit criteria. Ability to analyze formative assessments and student work samples to tailor individual instruction. Exceptional understanding of how the Science of Reading impacts teaching and learning.Professional Skills: Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating with parents, teachers, and students. Growth Mindset: Dedicated to curriculum development, instructional technology, and ongoing professional learning.
