The Lindenhurst UFSDS is seeking to hire a dynamic part-time mathematics teacher who is driven to create a classroom where students' lives are incorporated in every lesson, and true learning takes place on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematics background with the flexibility to teach all courses from grade 7 math to AP Calculus. Responsibilities include teaching approximately four sections of mathematics, push-in/pull-out model, participating collegially in meetings and initiatives, professional development, extracurricular activities, and taking an active role in the life of the school community. Staying up-to-date with current educational research and pedagogy related to classroom instruction and educational trends is also essential.
