Elementary Assistant PrincipalThe successful candidate will provide the leadership necessary to promote a rigorous and comprehensive instructional program that ensures the academic, social, and emotional success of a diverse student body of students in an elementary school setting.QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent human relations skills.Outstanding personal and professional integrity.Demonstrates the ability to be an instructional leader in core subject areas.Supports teachers during high-quality professional development in literacy and mathematics.Passionate about teaching and learning for all students.Valid NYS certification as School Administrator & Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) required.Minimum of five (5) years of relevant school teaching experience grades K-6.Thorough knowledge of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Standards & NYS Assessments.Experience with using student management systems.Experience implementing socio-emotional skills education.Successful experience integrating technology initiatives to increase student achievement and engagement aimed at developing 21st-century skills in students.Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration among stakeholders, including parents, teachers, staff, and community, in supporting student success.Salary: In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement of MIAAEffective Date: Immediately
