Elementary Instructional Coach An elementary instructional coach will support accomplished teaching through peer coaching and the purposeful sharing of best practices in a collaborative and trusting learning culture. The instructional coach will provide support for district goals and initiatives in order to enhance student learning. The role of an instructional coach will encompass, but will not be limited to, the modeling of lessons, co-planning, co-teaching, and the designing and facilitating of ongoing professional learning. The ideal candidate will possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, strong pedagogical skills, the ability to collaborate, a strong knowledge of instructional technology, and teacher-leadership qualities. Summer work on an as-needed basis. Internal candidates will be placed on special assignment, tenure status will be maintained.
