Elementary Career Exploration TeacherThe Levittown School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative Elementary Career Exploration Teacher. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for elementary education and a desire to inspire young minds to explore various career pathways.Responsibilities:- Implement a comprehensive career exploration curriculum for elementary students.- Utilize interactive and age-appropriate teaching methods to engage students in discovering diverse career options.- Implement a comprehensive digital citizenship and digital literacy curriculum.- Empower students to become responsible and ethical digital citizens in today's technology-driven world- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.- Incorporate digital citizenship and digital fluency lessons into the curriculum to prepare students for the evolving digital landscape..- Organize and facilitate activities, guest speakers, or (virtual) field trips to enhance students' exposure to different professions.Qualifications:- NYS Elementary or Literacy Certification- Proven experience in elementary education or related fields.- Familiarity with current educational technology and digital tools.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan engaging lessons.- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, colleagues, and parents.In addition to applying on OLAS, all interested and qualified candidates should send a cover letter and resume to the attention of Ms. Debbie Rifkin, Assistant Supt. for Human Resources, no later than January 19, 2024.
