The Locust Valley Central School District is looking for Part-Time School Bus Monitors to join our team.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure student safety and discipline on the bus. Ensure students are seated when the bus is in motion. Assist the bus driver with maintaining order.Help children on and off the bus and crossing the street.General knowledge of District bus stops.Work Hours and Benefits:The position may be with our Elementary, Middle or High School . Hours are 7:00AM - 9:00AM; 2:00PM - 4:00PM. There are no benefits. Qualifications & Job Requirements:Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job duties. Good physical condition. Must be able to climb and descend the school bus.Must pass a NYS SED Biennial Physical Performance Test.Attend 2 annual Bus refresher required by NYS SED.Complete a NYS SED 10 Hr Basic Course within the first year.Salary:Hourly rate range $18.00-$20.00.Interested candidates:Submit a cover letter of interest, resume and 2 professional references.
