REQUIREMENTS: NYS Certification NYS School Psychologist RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct psychological evaluations and maintain counseling caseloads (CSE/504). • Provide recommendations and intervention strategies based on student evaluations. • Development of IEP/504 plans. • Foster effective and ongoing communication with students’ teachers, school staff, district administrators and families in support of students IEPs or 504 plans. • Participates and/or chairs CSE or 504 meetings. • Offer consultation and guidance on mental health, crisis intervention and behavior management. • Train staff (as needed) on behavior interventions. • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (detailed documentation and reports), and collaborate with other schools. • Adhere to district policies, ethical conduct, and professional development requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience as a school psychologist at a school preferred. • Doctorate degree preferred. • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal/collaboration skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (Maintain accurate records, reports) • Experience chairing a Committee on Special Education (CSE) and/or 504 meetings. • Experience conducting assessments and developing intervention plans. • Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively and efficiently.
