Position: Regular Substitute Wings Teacher – Special Education tenure area (What I need to grow as a student) Dates: September 1, 2024 – June 30, 2024 on or about Location: Lido School Qualifications: For this position, the teacher needs to adapt, as appropriate, to the needs of an eligible student, the content, methodology, or delivery of instruction to address the unique needs that result from the student's disability; and to ensure access of the student to the general curriculum, so that he or she can meet the educational standards that apply to all students. The teacher should have experience in implementing needed accommodations and modifications to support students with special needs. The candidate would need to possess qualifications for differentiating instruction to address variable learning needs and to remediate students’ areas of deficit. Familiarity with reading methodology and next generation standards for ELA and math is preferred. Candidate should also have a repertoire of behavioral strategies and be able to provide a high level of structure and support for the students. Experience with evaluating students with disabilities, writing IEPs, data collection and familiarity with IEP Direct preferred. Certification: Special Education Teacher B-12 or Students with Disabilities B-2 and Students with Disabilities 1-6 Compensation: According to the LBCTA contract, MA/Step 1 $73,260
